Location : 330 Ridgefield Ct., Asheville, NC 28803
The Assistant Manager, Loan Servicing (Grade 9) manages and directs all aspects of the Bank's loan servicing functions. This may include, but is not limited to specialized activities to support Customer Service, Investor Reporting and Balancing, Tax and Insurance Monitoring, Payment Servicing and Research, Payoffs, New Account Boarding, ARMs, HELOCs, Default Support, Modifications, and Imaging. Has an in-depth understanding of governing rules and regulations and the implication of processes on other groups within the department and other divisions within the bank. Researches and resolves complex operational issues. Helps provide data conversion and mapping assistance to the Loan Servicing Manager as necessary in connection with the acquisition of new partner banks.
Specific Job Functions:
  • Promotes the growth and prosperity of the Bank by professionally serving the needs of customers.
  • Promotes quality customer service and oversees work productivity.
  • Plans and directs policies, objectives, and initiatives of the department.
  • Maintains and demonstrates proficiency with loan software applications.Work with system providers to utilize applications to fullest capacity, streamlining processes and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Analyzes, prepares and trains for periodic updates to system software, and verifies that enhancements are working correctly.Makes recommendations for system specification changes and is responsible for implementing any approved changes.
  • Serves as point of contact and is responsible for performing data migration tasks.Ensures data accuracy and integrity.Escalates issues in a timely manner to allow for rapid resolution.Provides accurate and appropriate feedback in a timely manner.

  • Understands business issues and opportunities to recommend solutions that enable the department and organization to achieve its goals.

Knowledge/Skills Required :

Job Requirements :
  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in the mortgage or consumer lending industry.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years related consumer and/or mortgage lending experience.
  • Previous management experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be bondable.
