Job Description

The Clean and Repair Everything Program requires that every guestroom be put out of service a minimum of once every 185 nights occupied or 12 months (whichever comes first) for two consecutive days for Engineering and Housekeeping to perform a comprehensive maintenance overhaul and deep cleaning. Housekeeping will have 4 hours to complete their portion of each CARE Room.


  • Bathroom
  • Clean ceiling and vanity lights
  • Wash walls
  • Clean doors and frames
  • Clean mirrors
  • Change shower curtain and liner
  • Clean all sink and bathtub chrome
  • Wipe down tile baseboards
  • Remove and replace any worn amenity items
  • Clean vent
    • Bedroom and Living Room
  • Clean ceiling light fixtures
  • Vacuum drapes
  • Wash sheers
  • Wash Windows
  • Wash walls
  • Clean vent
  • Clean doors and frames
  • Move furniture and clean under and behind
  • Vacuum carpet edges
  • Clean all baseboards
  • Turn mattresses
  • Remove and wash dust ruffle, green blanket and bedspread
  • Remove and wash blanket and mattress pads
  • Clean all furniture
  • Shampoo carpet
  • Understand how to clean a guestroom
  • Ensure CARE Cart is stocked and well-maintained with the following:
    • Bathrooms
  • Roller type sponge mop and gray bucket
  • All purpose cleaner
  • Scrubbing sponge
  • 5 - Shower liners
  • 5 - Shower curtains
  • 1 - Box of shower curtain hooks
  • 3 - Vanity light bulbs
  • 15 - Rags
    • Bedroom and Living Rooms
  • Roller type sponge mop and gray bucket
  • All purpose cleaner
  • Scrubbing sponge
  • Glass cleaner
  • Backpack vacuum
  • Long handle feather duster
  • Vacuum

  • Able to maintain a 4-Diamond level.
  • Able to work with Engineering staff.
  • Able to work with Management on special projects .

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to push and pull carts up to 75lb.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lb.

Working Environment:
  • Interior of hotel with possible exposure to the outside.

Tools and Equipment:
  • Telephone, cleaning chemicals, carts, vacuum, duster ,radio and Mondo-Vac.
