We are now recruiting for a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse- Float providing coverage to Winter Park, Oviedo, Longwood, Colonial Town and University Centers.

General Summary:
In this position you will work closely with the physician and other staff members to care for patients ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric in the walk in clinic setting. As the LPN/Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for clerical duties directly related to laboratory and radiology. Complaints range in severity from minor illness/injury, physical exams and drug screening to serious medical complications requiring preparation and transport to the nearest emergency room. You may also perform laboratory testing and various clerical duties and actively participate in maintaining JCAHO, OSHA, HRS, BLS and other regulatory standards. General duties include assisting with patient flow, taking vital signs, preparing the patient for exam, assisting the physician with procedures as directed, drug screen collections, corporate client testing, patient referrals and all associated paperwork. As an LPN/Medical Assistant, you may also give injections under the supervision of the physician. Employee must remain current in all policies and procedures to ensure consistent quality of knowledge and performance.


Schedule varies based on the coverage needs, flexibility is a must. 12 hour shifts, some evenings, alternate weekends and rotating holidays are required. 36-40 hours per week. Accommodate school schedules two days per week*

Locations covered, but not limited to: Winter Park, Oviedo, Longwood, Colonial Town and University

*Only if classes are on same two days per week...i.e Mon & Wed or Tue & Thurs.


Job Qualifications:
High school diploma required and graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.

1-3 years experience in a clinical setting.

PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must have an LPN or a National Medical Assistant Certification or Registry through ARMA, AMMA, NCCT or AMT.
BLS validation required and must be able to work under minimal supervision. Professional communications skills a must.
