Job Description Primary Purpose of the Function + Improve the financial position of Warrick Operations by improving the reliability and cost to maintain assets. + Position will directly supervise a mechanical reliability lead and electrical reliability lead. NATURE AND SCOPE: This position functions under the specific guidance and direction of the Project Engineer of Engienering Superintendent. The position requires basic drafting, organization, research, and document coordination skills. This position will develop extensive plant knowledge because of Intalco’s large, complex, and varied mechanical and electrical systems. These plant processes require continuous upgrading and modification. The new or modified systems require drawings, either for the original design or to implement modifications for continuous process improvement, historical research in the document library and archives, project tracking, and controlled document creation and issuance. The position requires librarian and problem-solving skills associated with the design of basic mechanical, electrical, and structural items, assemblies and facilities. Incumbents have no subordinates, but must effectively interact with a wide variety of in-plant, engineering, drafting, contractor, and vendor personnel. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. The other NL entity is the internal global bank of Alcoa. The Luxembourg entities are holding companies which also include finance activity. The Irish entity is a global employment company providing payroll, benefits and tax services to approximately 45 expatriates in various countries. This position is accountable for accounting, reporting, analysis and tax activities to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of financial results for internal and external purposes for the countries’ legal entities. The candidate would be required to analyze and evaluate accounting policies and transactions on a local statutory, IFRS and US GAAP basis; independently analyze, report and test financial data; and participate in the preparation of financial and management reports. The candidate would also be required to add interpretive value and context through consulting with the Business Unit and Resource Unit management. This position provides critical support to the Corporate Controller for the named countries in setting the accounting, tax and finance strategy for the operations and functions performed in country. Will be required to assist the Corporate Controller in configuring accounting structures to meet all statutory, GAAP and tax requirements, reorganizing legal entities for optimal tax planning purposes, establishing any new branches, and overseeing and monitoring finance operations for full compliance with Alcoa finance policies and procedures.
