We are actively recruiting for our full-time Dining Services Director! The primary purpose of this position is to assist in planning and directing all activities of our Dining Services Department (including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Health Care) to provide the highest quality of food service for residents, visitors, and staff. This team member will assist in establishing departmental policies and procedures for food production in compliance with the Givens Highland Farms policies and our vision, and to assure that the highest degree of quality care will be provided to our residents at all times. This individual will perform the following essential functions: Complete team member work schedules while adhering to labor budget; direct and supervise staff; ensure department sanitation; purchase food and supplies; responsible for Food Production; coordinate recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, directing and evaluating staff who work in the Dining Services Department; evaluate and recommend equipment purchases; resolve all issues brought forth by Dietitian, Health Department, and State Agency; ensure safe operation of all dining services equipment through training and monitoring; able to complete Minimum Data Set assessments and ensure that Care Plans are implemented; maintain current documentation on all residents of Givens Highland Farms Health Center; etc. Job Requirements: Qualified candidate will have successfully completed a Certified Dining Services Manager’s training class and be able to maintain those credentials. This individual must have as a minimum, two years of food service supervision experience, to include MDS experience within an institutional setting including retirement community, nursing home or hospital and on the job training for a period of one (1) year. This candidate should have a 4-year degree in Hospitality Services Management or related field from an American Culinary Foundation certified curriculum program at a college or university with a minimum of 3 years progressive experience in hospitality, multi-unit, medium volume food service operations. Preferred candidate will have a demonstrated success in management of a budget, purchasing, payroll control, expense management, and on-going staff training and continuing education. Previous experience in opening new operations is desirable.
