Job Description To ensure the safety of Barlines Guests and Associates and all patrons of Barlines are of legal drinking age. Responsibilities Monitor patrons entering and leaving Barlines, requesting proper identification and confirming accuracy of documentation presented. Monitors all entrances to Barlines. Greet guests and other Barlines patrons immediately with undivided attention As issues arise, remains courteous, tactful, and helpful, but firm in enforcing hotel policies and procedures. Prioritizing the safety of all guests, customers & associates. Responds immediately to emergency incidents and security concerns within Barlines. Assists with properly reporting, written or verbal, all Barlines guest/patron incidents. Involves Loss Prevention per standard hotel procedure. Ensures the safety of our guest, associates, and hotel property at all times. Monitors all traffic in the restaurant, restrooms, and patio area to control non-guest (i.e., drunks, prostitutes, vagrants, etc.) Understand all emergency procedures. Understand all radio codes. Maintain active TABC certification. Performs duties as assigned by Barlines Management. Qualifications 1 year or more experience in a security and or comparable food and beverage role is required. High volume bar/restaurant is preferred. Strong verbal and problem solving skills, with ability to effectively handle sensitive patron situations. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance. Maintain active TABC certification. Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. Consistent weekend evening schedule required. Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
