Internal Communications Manager GENERAL SUMMARY: The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for sustaining employee education, retention, engagement, and satisfaction by developing and coordinating strategic internal communication initiatives with the goal of enhancing overall culture through the understanding of key messages and outcomes, including strategic priorities of Florida Hospital Medical Group (FHMG), patient safety mandates, and performance indicators. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Manages all FHMG websites and responsible for day to day content updates Consults and offers guidance to executives and leaders in developing potential, strategic communication messages Works closely with FHMG executives in crafting and disseminating messages in a timely and appropriate manner to ensure employee understanding and engagement Collaborates with cross-functional leaders, department directors and managers, front-line employees, and other staff to ensure that communication efforts are done in an organized, effective, and timely manner Responsible for oversight and production of periodic (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) and ad hoc communications, including writing copy for internal communications Works closely with strategic projects and fully develops and deploys administrative, strategic, or patient safety messages in a way that translates and connects with FHMG employees, leaders and providers Effectively frames employee culture in a way that translates into recommended administrative actions to sustain a high performing organization Assists in the development of communication tools such as talking points, organization letters or memos, internal presentations, and other FHMG-specific communication projects for a variety of audiences Conducts ongoing communication audits and feedback to evaluate methods of communication, receptivity and recall of key messages and takes appropriate action based on audit results Identifies new communication opportunities and develops appropriate messages and outlets for FHMG Providers May analyze digital, on-line, electronic, written and oral communication efforts, identifying opportunities for improvement and measuring the effectiveness of site usability and content May hire, term, supervise and evaluate reports as department grows KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Excellent communication skills in all formats Ability to accomplish goals while adhering to strict and frequent deadlines, without supervision Ability to work with diverse employee groups Proficiency with publishing and editing software Working knowledge of promotions and target marketing, including audience research Innovative thinking, dedication, and motivation to be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED: N/A EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field Three years (3) experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Human Resources EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Master's degree LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: None LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED: None SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None REQUIRED COMPETENCIES Conducts themselves in a calm and collected manner at all times Demonstrates patient/customer focused, compassionate behavior Takes responsibility for decisions, actions and results, and delivers on commitments Cooperates and collaborates with team members and others Complies with the Adventist Health System Institutional Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines Demonstrates compliance with all federal, state and local laws; rules and government Demonstrates effective communication skills with all team members, patients/customers and families What makes working at Florida Hospital Medical Group special?
