Job Description The Real Estate Analyst is responsible for supporting the growth initiatives of Omni Hotels & Resorts through acquisitions, new developments and management contracts. The Investment Analyst works with the Development team to provide business and data analysis in all aspects of underwriting, research and transaction structuring. This high profile position requires a high degree of accuracy as the information provided by the analyst is the critical data for company ownership and leadership. Responsibilities Develop project evaluation and modeling - prepare market analysis, pro forma projections, ROI and NPV calculations to provide decision-makers the information needed to evaluate a potential development project. Perform market research on potential development locations, identifying potential competitive properties. Analyze market performance to determine the rates and occupancies to assume for the subject development. Assess incoming supply, local economic conditions, travel patterns, etc. Develop detailed proforma, securing the approval and support of the hotel operations and sales and marketing teams on the reasonableness of delivering the projected results. Construct, manipulate and continuously modify models to calculate potential business returns. Support the transaction process in order to complete due diligence on targeted acquisitions. Communicate regarding issues, risk and liability concerns. Work closely with all members of the group in underwriting hotel investment opportunities. Develop presentations and materials for use in meetings with potential partners, investors, leaders, developers, etc. Maintain and update the status of projects/deals within the development pipeline. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality or another business-related field. MBA a plus but not required. Commercial real estate experience a plus, preferably including the hospitality segment. Strong analytical skills in order to review and interpret financial statements. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. A well-organized individual capable of multi-tasking and meeting multiple deadlines.
