JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title : Sales Administration Specialist FLSA Status: Full-Time, Hourly Reports to : Vice President Business Development SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: This position serves as administrative support for the sales team, providing data analysis and internal/external communication among sales, distribution, marketing and distributors. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Sales - Set up new item paperwork and pricing for chains - Monitor new items for cross-reference issues in VIP (sales data software) - Analyze and monitor call rates, ratios and sales conversion rates for KTA (Key Target Accounts) - Communicate and confirm pricing promotions and changes in promo schedule - Assist in building reports and communications, following up on program execution, incentives, and market penetration comparisons - Track chain programming and follow up through VIP - Cross reference inventory with pricing/promo schedules and upcoming seasonal transitions - Get ahead of any inconsistencies and ensure pricing execution on time - Understand scope of seasonal inventories to help plan transfer and new seasonal releases - Review and approve bill-backs for promo products - Call on chains and assist with presentations to chain accounts - Assists with selling, samplings, and events as needed - Call on chains and assist with presentations to chain accounts - Serves as gap filler with abilities to sell, do tastings, work events - Perform other duties as assigned Distribution and Distributors - Monitor pricing and price promotion through distributor pricing contracts and VIP - Make recommendations to change orders - Act as conduit for info related to shipping, FOB (Freight on Board), SPA (Special Purchase Allocations), DA (Depletion Allocations), etc. - Communicate POS (Point of Sale), beer pricing, and NIF (New Item Form) information to Supply Chain Manager - Responsible for internal/external communication between sales, distribution and distributors - Communicate order changes and OOS - Help plan limited release shipments based on sales allocations - Create and maintain productive relationships with key distributor contacts - Monitor inventories and orders for all distributors - Disperse and receive distributor allocations Marketing - Communicate all information regarding new items with chains, distributors, and retail to marketing, including possible repercussions for missing a deadline - Consolidating random emails/spreadsheets from sales team into one email/spreadsheet for the marketing team - Maintain a consolidated and up to date distributor list for holiday cards, refresh mailer, Cold Mountain VIP invites, etc. - Analyze trends in certain markets and/or beer styles and communicate to marketing team QUALIFICATIONS: Education: · Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field Experience: - Some sales or related experience preferred Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · Strong verbal and written communication skills · High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications · Strong organizational skill with attention to detail · Self-starting personality · Strong presentation and selling skills Working Conditions: Willingness to work events on some evenings and weekends is required Ability to lift up to 35 lbs is required. Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time is required.
