Job Description
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (List does not include all duties assigned)

1) Performs secretarial duties, including taking dictation, transcribing correspondence and reports, proofreading typed material, and disseminating information to appropriate recipients.

2) Monitors the current status of the work for assigned supervisor(s).

3) Maintains calendar and arranges meetings and appointments. Makes travel arrangements if necessary.

4) Receives and assists visitors, telephone callers, and correspondence via e-mail -- responding and prioritizing appropriately.

5) Gathers information and formats summaries and reports as requested.

6) Attends meetings as requested. Transcribes and / or processes minutes as requested. Files minutes appropriately.

7) Assists supervisor(s) with various and special projects.

8) Adheres to all appropriate aspects of company’s compliance program.

9) Maintains strict confidentiality.

10) Performs related work as assigned.



PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of organization policies and procedures.

• Knowledge of office management practices and secretarial procedures.

• Knowledge of computer systems and applications (At minimum, Intermediate Word and Excel).

• Knowledge of health care administration principles helpful.

• Skill in gathering, analyzing and interpreting information.

• Skill in verbal and written communication, including grammar, spelling and punctuation.

• Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving and decision making.

• Ability to apply policies and principles to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations.

• Ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, staff and the public.

• Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.

• Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.
