Posting Job Description The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Senior Data Analyst for our Technology Services Group Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Position Summary
The Senior Data Analyst performs enterprise-wide research and analysis, resulting in written recommendations for a variety of strategies and solutions. The analyst participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle; leads requirements gathering and documentation; and serves as a liaison between business and information technology. Partnering with business representatives at all levels as well as other Information Technology teams; the analyst will assess, initiate, refine and drive appropriate solutions. The analyst is responsible for communicating to and educating end users on the software changes or new product functionality. This position requires a highly motivated individual who is comfortable with rapid changes in direction and environment, and willing to take on multiple challenging and complex tasks. The successful candidate will be customer oriented, results driven (i.e. solutions oriented) and passionate about delivering innovative quality services to our customers with strong technical and analytical skills.
Essential Job Functions
. Facilitate as well as participate in requirements review sessions with business and/or technical teams; Understand the "asks", the assumptions, the dependencies and the constraints and translate them into requirements and solutions; Develop business, functional and/or technical requirement specifications adhering to standard templates; Perform and document gap analysis; Develop other supporting documentation such as source to target mapping documents, use cases, business logic flows, process flows, requirements traceability matrix, etc.; Develop KPIs as part of the requirements definition to build-in measures of success; Estimate, identify and track tasks.
. Consult with IT architecture team on solution architecture and identifying key areas of impact; Work closely with development, testing and subject matter experts during the entire life-cycle of the project.
. Maintain skills, knowledge, and documentation of system capabilities and business processes to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the organization.
. Provide Tier 3 support of End User issues, identifying, researching, and analyzing the issues in order to develop solutions and resolve recurring issues; Perform analysis during the defect lifecycle; Perform root cause analysis of issues including debugging ETL code; Write the requirements for the development team to correct the issue; Drive and assist with data analysis to improve operation including uncovering data anomalies and performing research of other forms of key operational data to enable efficiencies and overall data quality; Create ad-hoc extracts/reports using various tools to meet both internal needs and external requests.

Job Requirements:
. Minimum of 7 - 10 years experience as a Developer, Technical Analyst, IT Analyst, Systems Analyst, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experienced in eliciting, defining, writing, and managing business specifications, technical specifications, and other project documentation for applications development. Experienced in troubleshooting issues using various data analysis techniques; Working knowledge of Oracle, PL/ SQL, and experience using Microsoft Access and TOAD.
. Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience on data warehousing/ business intelligence projects; Working knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica, Ascential etc. and Internet-based technologies, reporting tools, and client/server-based applications is highly desirable; Experience with basic Unix scripting and databases (Oracle, Netezza) is highly desirable.
. Must possess strong analytical skills with ability to gather comprehensive requirements and deliver analysis results expediently; Ability to take abstract business issue and using data analysis techniques determine the root cause and possible solutions; knowledge of data modeling and entity-relationships; Ability to apply multiple technologies to business problems.
. Must have strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, a "quick study', and be adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment; Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical persons orally and in writing is required ; High degree of professionalism, using an interpersonal communication style that promotes progress through teamwork in a collaborative manner; Must be comfortable working with minimal direction in a highly-matrixed organization; Must pay attention to detail and have a sense of urgency in completing multiple assignments within aggressive timelines.
. Experience with Convergys and CSG billing data.
Preferred Qualifications:
. Knowledge of the Cable Industry.
. Knowledge of the ICOMS billing system and its underlying table structures and data.
. Knowledge of the CSG billing system and its underlying table structures and data.
. Knowledge of Informatica, Oracle and Netezza.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
Additional Information:
As a Senior Business Analyst, may oversee the work of other Business Analysts.
