Ravenscroft Family Health Center has an immediate opening for a full-time Triage Nurse. Must have current North Carolina LPN license, be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously, work well with others, excellent communication skills, and excellent organization. Attention to detail required. Triage experience necessary.
Candidate will perform a variety of tasks including triaging, obtaining and recording appropriate signs and symptoms, retrieving messages, returning patient calls, determining if an appointment is necessary, follow-up with patient regarding test results, medication refills, ensure accurate and timely telephone communication to patients, triage work in an organized manner according to patient and third party need, make complete and accurate entries in patient record, demonstrate knowledge of pharmaceuticals, disease, and common side effects, handle incoming patient phone calls appropriately, communicate appropriate instructions/information to patients per protocols, document all communication, and must have the ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
