Mechanical Design Engineer Job: Well established company is seeking a degreed Mechanical Design Engineer with 3-5 years design experience for a direct hire position in Knoxville, TN. Candidate will provide expert engineering input while performing complex and unique engineering assignments in the R&D arena. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; Mechanical Engineering preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with substantial SolidWorks experience including proficiency in welding and fixture design.
Responsibilities:
-> Candidate will work with the mechanical design and testing teams by focusing on the development and documentation of improved mechanical design methods.
-> Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
-> Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
-> Responsible for job quotation and project management.
Requirements:
-> Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
-> Must be proficient with SolidWorks software.
-> Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering field.
