Position Summary
The Time Warner Cable Corporate office in Charlotte currently seeks an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 5+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience and demonstrated expertise in implementing and supporting multiple instances in an enterprise environment.
The Oracle DBA is responsible for day to day operations of all Time Warner Cable corporate Oracle databases. These responsibilities include: daily maintenance, monitoring, database and SQL performance optimization, troubleshooting, problem resolution, customer support, installing/patching/upgrading database software, implementing routine tasks, performing defined project tasks, reporting, and database backup and restoration.
Candidates should posses an expert understanding of Oracle database architecture, general database concepts and technologies, RMAN backup and recovery strategies, security and authentication protocols, SQL and database performance tuning methods, as well as extensive experience with UNIX/Linux. The candidate should have extensive experience administering and supporting Oracle 9i/10g database instances and experience with Oracle 10g RAC, ASM, and DataGuard implementations.
This position will work with a cross-section of internal IT organizations, including other DBA's, internal IT customers, systems admins, storage admins, application admins, systems analysts and architects, developers, project managers, and management.
Essential Job Functions:
Participate as part of a team responsible for the overall operations of all Oracle databases. Formulate and follow team policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management. Perform database backups and recoveries. Assist in developing policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of data. Perform installations and configurations of application and database systems. Identify, investigate, and resolve major system performance and application or database issues. Analyze and identify system improvements pertaining to performance or data processing procedures. Plan and conduct major database architecture changes including data migration, database migrations/integrations, and assist with database software patches or upgrades.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Oracle 9i and 10g
- Solid experience with Oracle installations, patches, upgrades, and administration in a Unix/Linux Environment
- Strong experience with Linux/UNIX
- Minimum of 3 years working experience with Oracle 10g
- Strong knowledge of Oracle High Availability solutions: Oracle 10g DataGuard and RAC
- Extensive experience in managing very large (10 TB+) Oracle databases
- Solid experience in supporting both OLTP and Data Warehouse databases.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle table partitioning and data compression
- Strong knowledge of Oracle RMAN and Oracle backup and Recovery Procedures
- Minimum 2 years working experience in managing Oracle backups with Oracle RMAN and Veritas Netbackup for Oracle.
- Strong UNIX shell scripting experience
- Extensive experience in SQL and Oracle database performance tuning
- Thorough working knowledge of monitoring tools like OEM Grid Control, TOAD, etc
- Proven diagnostic problem solving and solution development capabilities
- Minimum 1 year Experience with Oracle ASM
- Experience with SAN technologies and concepts
- Must have the ability and willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation which includes off-hour, weekend, and holiday coverage

Position Description

Position Description
Prepare fixture and merchandise plans which can be supported by Merchandising, Store Operations, Planogramming, Store Environment, and Display Management. Responsible for the review process, plan development, revision updates, plan distribution, and ensuring project tracking schedules are maintained and all project plans are completed accurately and on time.
Assist Store Planning Management in the professional development of Store Planner I's aligned with same merchandising groups by encouraging the development of their knowledge of merchandising philosophies.

Essential Job Functions:
The candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities required to bring new releases of feature functionality to market on the Subscriber Data Architecture technology platform:

Job Requirements:
The candidate must have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills and an executive presence in connection with communicating objectives and status, as well as resolving business and technical issues with cross-functional stakeholders. Basic analytical and problem-solving skills will be critical in developing creative solutions to complex issues that must be resolved against aggressive delivery timelines. Deep technical experience is required with working knowledge of large scale information movement and management technologies critical to having success in this role.
