| Performs and directs full financial activities, including (but not limited to): establishing and maintaining the organization’s accounting principles, practices, procedures and initiatives; maintenance of G/L and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to top management. Position reports to VP / Controller. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the property management/real estate and restaurant development field. Relies on limited experiences and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Requires a BA in Accounting or related field.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Month-end and year-end closing and reporting for multiple entities
• Preparation of annual budgets and re-forecasting on quarterly basis
• Cash flow projections
• Bank account reconciliations
• Quarterly loan compliance reporting
• Work independently and/or within a team on special projects as well as part of daily routine
• Review company financial statements for accuracy and clarity
• Prepare audit and tax work papers for external teams
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Must have strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, start-up type environment, as well as juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Must be deadline driven
Other requirements include: five (5) to seven (7) years of accounting experience in real estate and/or construction-related field. |
