Primary Purpose:
Personally perform, and supervise others in theperformance of, loan administration duties for commercial mortgage loans, onbehalf of the lender, with a particular focus on the collateral (typicallyincome-producing, real estate); and support the processing of borrower requests,as well as the general enforcement of loan documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, bothmajor and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. The Sr. Asset Manager will personally, and throughmanaging others, accurately and efficiently produce required analyses ofoperating statements and related financial statements of commercial incomeproducing properties and sponsors, including identifying and researchingvariances, normalizing, and otherwise adjusting the statements, per lenderrequirements.
2. The Sr. Asset Manager will personally, and throughmanaging others, review, correct and approve operating statement analyses.
3. TheSr. Asset Manager will personally,or through managing others, perform (or review third-party) property inspectionsto verify sufficient maintenance of collateral, and identify and report lifesafety issues, as well as other items of deferred maintenance. The Sr. AssetManager will prepare and transmit the resulting reports to the lender in atimely fashion (per lender deadlines).
4. The Sr. Asset Manager will personally and throughmanaging others analyze, underwrite and make formal recommendations regardingvarious Borrower requests, including but not limited to requests for loanmodifications, collateral releases, prepayment, maturity extensions,sales/assumptions, and consent to tenant leases.
5. The Sr. Asset Manager will personally, and throughmanaging others, analyze and process Borrower requests for releases of fundsfrom various reserve accounts, including but not limited to reserves forreplacing capital items, reserves for leasing commissions and tenantimprovements, and holdbacks for repairs or improvements.
6. The Sr. Asset Manager will personally, and throughmanaging others, analyze and support the processing of proceeds from insuranceloss claims.
7. The Sr. Asset Manager will perform collectionactivities for delinquent loan payments, as well as the reporting of same.
8. The Sr. Asset Manager will assist in the accurateand timely maintenance of the Company’s loan servicing system databaseregarding the loan accounting records, collateral-related and borrower-relatedrecords, or other relevant records.
9. The Sr. Asset Manager will identify and reportBorrower breaches of loan document requirements.
10.The Sr. Asset Manager will supervise Asset Analysts and Sr. AssetAnalysts in the performance of their respective duties.
Required Skills and Competencies:

1. BA or BS undergraduate degree from an accreditedcollege or university
2. MBA from an accredited college or university, orequivalent experience
3. Good written and oral communicationskills
4. 8-10 years of experience with commercial real estate, with at least3 of those years being with finance
5. Ability to travel, as required
6. Ability to efficiently and consistently produceaccurate work
7. Strong working knowledge of loan accountingconcepts, including interest accrual methodologies andamortization
8. Ability to read and comprehend most provisions ofcommon commercial real estate loan documents
9. Ability to efficiently compose accurate andeffective reports and written recommendations to lenders
10.Intermediate-level skills with Microsoft Excel andMicrosoft Word
11.Basic-level skills with Adobe Acrobat (i.e.,creation and manipulation of “*.pdf” format files)
Desired Skills:
1. Superior working knowledge of the commerciallending programs of Life Insurance Co lenders, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and CMBSconduits, including the roles and responsibilities ofservicers
2. Experience in commercial mortgage loanunderwriting
3. Superior ability to analyze commercial propertyoperating statements
4. Certification (by the MBA or the GSE’s) inCommercial Property Inspections
5. Experience with commercial propertymanagement
6. Strong working knowledge of the commercial buildingconstruction process, and construction lending
7. Good working knowledge of real estate law conceptsand their practical application
