PURPOSE: This position is responsible for the Region's Business Class market planning and strategic marketing plan. They will work closely with all departments throughout the Region and Commercial Services Corporate in a team environment to provide marketing leadership, solicit feedback,lead/participate in decision making, lead marketing tactics implementation, build competitive advantage and operate as a strong external spokesperson for the Carolina's Commercial Services business. Maintaining and utilizing good working relationships with division commercial leadership, corporate marketing, region organizations, program suppliers, outside agencies and other vendors is a key to success. JOB FUNCTIONS: . In conjunction with the Sr Financial Director lead development of the annual business plan detailing revenue growth objectives by channel, pricing/product deployment assumptions, incremental revenue growth initiatives and assumptions associated with the competitive, economic and legal/regulatory environment. . Based on the market opportunity assessment and segmentation priorities establish customer forums to enable broad reach at the market level to targeted customers to ensure two way dialogue enabling improved customer satisfaction, market research input and new customer acquisition . Develop, establish and implement Regional product development, pricing, marketing policies and strategies designed to maximize the success of all product lines - Video, High Speed OnlineData, Digital PhoneVoice, and Managed Services via wireline (DOCSIS/fiber) and wireless technologiesFiber. . Responsible for the achievement of Regional revenue growth objectives. Develop and execute an integrated marketing plan that links with Corporate Commercials Services Marketing Plan and develops region specific strategic and tactical plans with measurable cost/marketing dollar success thresholds. . Develop and implement customer acquisition and retention activities, promotional campaign strategies and customer information materials in order to maintain existing customers and to maximize growth. . Responsible for all media, direct mail and other advertising used by the region, research new services and products to increase quantity and quality of programming. . Perform competitive analysis with the ability to recognize and understand competitive changes in the related marketplace and develop Regional competitive strategies for the purpose of building ongoing competitive advantage. . Oversee the assessment of our current Alternate Sales Channels Program and development of a proposed recommendation that identifies a cost effective way to serve our lower value/high volume customer base. The scope of this responsibility includes: Evaluate Alternate Sales Channels; Conduct Beta Test; Develop Associated Processes & Controls, Create Budgets, Establish Goals and Continue to Manage the Program. .Provide monthly operational results summaries against established plans which include identification of missed objectives, root cause analysis and recovery/intervention initiatives to map back to plan commitments Additionally identify new opportunities in year that can be implemented to over- achieve plan. . Provide Regional marketing leadership for the organization. QUALIFICATIONS: At minimum a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or equivalent training, education and experience. Master's degree (M. A.) or higher or equivalent training, education and experience preferred. . Ten to twenty years B2B sales and marketing experience with at least five to seven years experience in a senior marketing management position, preferably with multiple system organization . Demonstrated ability to develop creative and innovative approaches to Business Class marketing and selling video, Data, Voice and other lines of business . Demonstrated experience with B2B market segmentation strategies, vertical marketing and establishment of effective customer relationship forums . Previous market planning experience across all B2B segments inclusive of National, Medium and Small/SOHO customer segments . Proven track record of success in growing and defending the business in a competitive environment . Working experience with 3rd party Alternate Sales Channels Programs. . Strong budgetary skills . Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Intimate knowledge and familiarity with cable TV billing systems and technology . Proficient with a variety of software, for example, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, forecasting tools, databases and segmentation systems. Delegates authority to carry out work of a unit to subordinate supervisors or managers. The Division Marketing Managers will report directly to this new position, but will be expected to maintain an active dotted line relationship to Division Commercial Leadership. 25% Travel required.
