Posting Job Title Chief Marketing Officer - East Region Requisition # 122427BR Location United States - North Carolina - Charlotte Area of Interest Marketing Position Type Full Time Posting Job Description The Regional Chief Marketing Officer of the East Region will provide leadership and expert resources in defining the East Region's strategy as related to the marketing of our products and services and the development and optimization of sales and distribution channels. This includes the development of effective strategies for growth, including faithful stewardship of our brands, flawless execution of promotional tactics, thoughtful development and implementation of our competitive strategies, and increased reliance on the principles of the "marketing sciences" including research, analysis, and strategic segmentation and customer lifetime value. This position requires significant strength in organizational development and the ability to lead with conviction in a highly competitive environment. Key functional responsibilities include subscriber marketing, relationship management, retention, sales channels, analytics, marketing operations, programming and product management. This individual will also collaborate effectively with other key stakeholders, including key executive Corporate Team members, Executive Vice Presidents, Regional Vice President of Operations and Regional CFOs of Finance. DUTIES/OBJECTIVES: Consumer Marketing . Surpass subscriber and revenue growth objectives while positioning Time Warner Cable as the preeminent multimedia provider . Build marketing plans for key customer segments and share best practices with Corporate Marketing & Regional counterparts. . Organize and design best marketing practices around consumer segmentation and customer lifetime value as a means of approaching our business and growth opportunities. . Build profitable subscriber growth in an operationally friendly manner that facilitates improved customer metrics and reduced service and support expenses . Utilize research and analysis to identify and implement regionally-focused customer trend analysis ensuring local collaboration with database best practice, data hygiene and reporting (e.g., campaign management, field training, and performance metrics). . Provide Corporate Marketing with competitive intelligence and leverage central database to provide analytic support and recommendations for the region regarding customer segments, product performance, and channel effectiveness. Brand Marketing . Oversee brand marketing, creative services and promotion/advertising within the region coordinating with Corporate Marketing & national agencies to customize the advertising and imagery used to promote the business, its product lines, and consumer facing offers/bundles. . Further Regional/local media buying and planning Regional/local needs for creative execution for collateral materials for DM, TV production, web etc. Product Management . Establish regional product line goals for sales and profitability and work with the local division marketing teams to establish appropriate marketing budgets. . Lead the development of pricing guidelines that are both competitive and responsive to the overall financial goals for the region. . Ensure faultless execution at the local level with introduction and launch of new products. . Partner with counterparts in other Regions and Corporate Marketing group to ensure that the competitive and consumer intelligence from the field is communicated and analyzed in context. Sales Management . Develop and ensure great execution of a direct sales strategy while providing direction to regional Direct Sales Operation. . Consult with Divisional operations to ensure sales goals are being met. . Responsible for channel management throughout region. . Negotiate and maintain regional retail partnerships as well as manage and monitor plans for the retail channels, including the execution of national partnerships. . Set strategy for inbound sales throughout the region and establish benchmarks and performance goals for local and regional inbound sales and performance goals for local direct sales. . Identify and manage marketing segments delivering regional sales bundling, migration goals, and develop/manage marketing tests. . Approve local marketing budget and mix allocation & media planning. REQUIREMENTS: . Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business Administration or advanced degree highly preferred. Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, but some college will be required. . Masters Degree and/or APR Certification preferred. . A proven track record of leading subscriber and revenue growth in a competitive industry . Experience in developing a large marketing & sales organization that markets in scale while attracting exceptional talent . 15 or more years of marketing and sales management experience with at least 7 years of experience in a senior marketing management position, preferably with multiple system organization. Ideally, intimate knowledge and familiarity with cable TV billing systems and technology. . Experience in Hispanic and Multicultural marketing . Change agent and culture carrier, requiring the balance between strategic and operating capability with a skew to seamless execution. . Ability to drive hard for results with the appropriate strategic foresight, business flexibility, and people sensitivity is key. . Analytical nature and ability to identify marketing & sales trends from operation metrics. . Effective bridge-builder between corporate and field organizations, with the necessary people and performance competencies to communicate a passion for winning. . Excellent communicator capable of building relationships and communicating effectively at every level in the organization. . Sales oriented executive with experience in residential and/or high volume sales/transactional environment. Knowledge of a direct sales operation. . Driven, decisive, and results-focused marketing manager with the right marketing skills. . Customer-driven mindset, cultivating innovative thinking, with strategic and tactical marketing skills and understanding of the critical factors that drive customer acquisition, retention and expansion of per- household revenues. . Proficient with a variety of software, for example, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, forecasting tools, databases and segmentation systems.
