This position will serve as the primary contact to facilitate the review of all government documents needed to sell to Government related businesses and entities at the federal, state, and local levels. Additional responsibilities include: supporting stores and Government customers with business account set-up, credit line, invoicing, facilitating an array of pre and post-award compliance requirements, executing Government Sales P&P guidelines, completing government customer registrations, maintaining the government communications mailbox and Commercial Sales hotline, working with the Government CBM site, and responding to all store, field, and customer inquiries. This position will interact with Legal, Credit Finance, Merchandising, Store Operations Support, Installed Sales and other internal departments as necessary. In addition, the position interacts with Field Management and stores to oversee the complete lifecycle of government sales. The position will also help provide feedback on implementation of government sales initiatives as directed by the VP and/or Director of Commercial Sales. Day-to-Day Work Activities Include: - Working with stores to ensure government documents are properly submitted in CBM and that all policy & procedure questions have been appropriately answered. - Serve as a key line of defense to ensure that government sales opportunities provided by a government entity present a profitable and realistic business opportunity for Lowe's. - Answer all emails, inquiries, and phone calls submitted by stores, field management, and DCASs pertaining to government sales, documents, credit lines, reporting / tracking, approvals, etc. - Serve as the central contact / hub / primary liaison for reviewing and submitting guidance back to stores on government documents submitted for review. - Assist Credit team and stores to open a new account or obtain a credit line increase to facilitate the government sale. Work with other internal groups as necessary when government entities want to pay via PO or via electronic methods such as Wide Area Work Flow (DOD payment system), EDI, etc. Position Requirements 1. Education: 4 year degree in Business Administration, Communication, or related field, with 2-4 years relevant professional experience very helpful. 2. Experience working with Federal, State, and Local government businesses preferred. 3. Experience working with cross-functional teams including Legal highly desired. 4. Proven home improvement experience at Lowe's or another mass retailer extremely helpful. 5. Technical: Familiarity with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, word-processing, spreadsheets, e-mail) very helpful. 6. Effective oral and written communication skills. 7. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 8. Excellent time management/organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Retail Experience or Background

This position will be responsible for helping define and implement sales and marketing strategies to maximize Government sales. This position will define and implement programs to sell to Government related businesses and entities at the federal, state, and local/municipal levels. Requirements include working with key functional departments in the corporate office and field to facilitate successful management and growth of Government Sales. This position will interact with legal, business development, merchandising, marketing, credit finance, installed sales and other internal departments as necessary, as well as, field management, stores, and corporate partners, to optimize the opportunity to develop and grow Government Sales. The position will also be responsible for execution and implementation of initiatives as directed by the VP and/or Director of Commercial Sales. Essential Responsibilities: 1. Works with appropriate departments to define marketing and sales strategies to drive government sales through channels such as direct marketing, web / search engines, call lists posted to CBM, etc. 2. Develop and implement various business initiatives and program tests to help drive long term growth of Government Sales for the company. 3. Communicates and interacts with other corporate departments (e.g., Legal, Business Development, Marketing, Merchandising, Customer Analytics, Training, Store Operations, Customer Care, FP&A, etc.) and any applicable third party providers to develop, implement, manage, and report on Government Sales. 4. Manages, maintains, and improves Commercial Sales training programs with the Lowes Learning Center in regards to Government guidelines and sales training. 5. Manage, develop, and maintain the Commercial Business Management (CBM) system in regards to Government Sales. 6. Manage all store/field bound communications via EMS, email, BTV, Commercial Sales Home Page, CBM, and various other communication vehicles on Government Sales. 7. Travels to attend related trade shows and customer meetings to present and discuss Lowe's commercial programs and services as needed. 8. Recruits, directs, trains, develops, promotes, evaluates, and disciplines assigned personnel in accordance with responsibilities of their positions and to facilitate the growth and development of each subordinate. 9. Manage and ensure timely completion and distribution of all commercial program information and store and customer literature. Position Requirements 1. Education: 4 year degree in Business Administration, Communication, or related field, with 8-12 years relevant professional experience very helpful. 2. Proven experience selling and marketing to Federal, State, and Local government businesses with demonstrated experience selling to Federal government entities. 3. Proven experience related to General Services Administration (GSA) schedules and proposals highly desired. 4. Proven home improvement experience at Lowe's or another mass retailer extremely helpful. 5.Technical: Familiarity with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, word-processing, spreadsheets, e-mail) very helpful. 6. Effective oral and written communication skills. 7. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 8. Excellent time management/organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior home improvement experience with mass retailer preferred.
