TITLE: Division Director
REPORTS TO: State Director
LOCATION: Asheville, NC
REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement
POSITION PURPOSE: To organize and manage all activities in the division including fundraising, committee and board functions, volunteer management, communications, programs projects, community services and staff supervision.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and execute March for Babies including revenue leadership, sponsorship and teams. Recruit, develop and support influential volunteer leaders for board and fundraising activities. Plan and execute special events; explore and develop new sources of income for the division. Provide ongoing guidance and support for volunteers and staff. Secure sponsorship base for fundraising events. Provide organization visibility through public relations and promotional efforts. Develop and effectively implement community service and educational programs. Control and maintain board minutes and accounting records of the division.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education Three years experience in fundraising or related field such as sales with successful track record of income growth Excellent management, organizational, interpersonal and communications skills Ability to function in a fast paced environment and deal with multiple priorities |

Basic Assignments: Maintain and organize all financial records of income, expense, assets, and liabilities; Supervise the posting and balancing of accounts payable and other related account funds; Supervise and manage payables in a timely fashion, Supervise and manage association payroll; Supervise and manage association cash flow; Oversee the reconciling and posting of monthly adjustments to all appropriate accounts; Develop, manage, and maintain all systems related to operational and capital finances established by policies and procedures; Oversee financial components of grant compliance; Maintain Association’s fixed asset inventory.
Qualifications: Four-year degree (CPA/MBA preferred) or extensive experience in business and accounting; Minimum of 8 years experience in managing the accounting practices of a company of like size; Knowledge and experience in the areas of record-keeping, bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, cash management, vendor relations, payroll, financial reporting, contract negotiations, and strategic planning; Demonstrated skills in developing, managing, maintaining, and growing financial systems and procedures. |
