Please find below a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position. Shift: Monday - Friday with flexibility to work between 10 AM to 9 PM and some Saturdays 9 AM - 6 PM (Hours will vary based on meeting minimum sales quotas). Location: Charlotte Division Purpose: The purpose of this position is to explain and sell cable services to customers in a manner consistent with Time Warner Cable policies, procedures, quality, standards, customer needs and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Positions work from lead sheets or automated sales force automation device to call on homes and increase service penetration in assigned areas. Essential Job Functions: . Make door-to-door cable sales presentations in order to sell cable services to potential and existing customers in assigned territory. . Maximize potential for customers to purchase and retain their cable services. . Provide complete and accurate information, promote the value of cable effectively, and sell based on customer profiles as well as full consideration of all options available. . Present information regarding products, services, rates, installation fees, campaign requirements, and special offers in a clear, concise, accurate, and professional manner. . Promote a positive company image at all times. . Meet productivity standards set by the department. . Provide quality customer relations and meet all other performance standards. . Turn in all sales including required documentation and monies collected in a timely manner. . Keep accurate records, report sales activity and results accurately, and notify supervisor or designee of all problems/difficulties as they occur. . Follow up on all leads, inquiries, complaints, and other messages in a timely manner. . Keep appointments with customers. . Attend meetings and training sessions as required. . Quote prices, credit terms and prepare sales order forms for orders to be completed and billed. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education: High school diploma or general education diploma (GED). Experience/Skills Required . One year of proven commissioned sales experience; or 2 years of college; or equivalent combination of sales exp. and college education required. . Requires basic math skills. . Must be capable of working in all weather conditions and have flexible work hours. Travel requirements and frequency: Must have reliable transportation that will accommodate basic equipment to travel to assigned territories within the system footprint - Daily. Legal or Financial Responsibilities . Requires adherence to Time Warner Standards of Business Conduct. . Maintains the confidentiality of customer and business data at all times. Communication Skill level: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Reasoning ability: Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. PURPOSE: Position will acquire new Business Class customers and to retain and increase revenues from existing Business Class customers by selling new products and services within an assigned geographical territory. JOB FUNCTIONS: . Perform various administrative, customer, and sales support functions to aid the Management team and the Inside Account Executives . Inbound/Outbound contact with commercial Business Class prospects to conduct needs assessments, identify suitable applications solutions, develop and present proposals, including respective timelines for delivery, and solicit orders. . Title: Circuit Design Spc Location: North Carolina-Charlotte-EDS-Charlotte, NC (GO) (900) Depending upon the desired qualifications of the successful candidate, the hiring manager may elect to fill this position at a higher level within the job hierarchy. The Circuit Design Specialist position handles the orders for customers who are either already on our network or are new customers connecting to the DN network for the first time. The Circuit Design Specialist position will also work with other carriers to complete circuits for customers who are off-net to DukeNet. The Design Specialist performs the installation of the new circuits on the equipment via standard software that is applicable to the equipment installed at the customer location. The Specialist will also test complex circuit designs that are being implemented for customers. The Circuit Design Specialist may also be required to assist less experienced specialists on the team as it relates to circuit design and provisioning. At this level, the Specialist is viewed by team as an expert with in-depth knowledge of circuit design and provisioning. The Circuit Design Specialist will also be required to assist in the resolution of moderately complex issues and advises lower level specialists of changes and revisions to procedures. Duties and responsibilities include evaluating a variety of equipment and facility options to determine the best routing for circuits ordered on the DukeNet Network; working with the Network Operations center to identify and resolve issues in order to deliver service to the customer on the DukeNet network; writing orders for field technicians to work and provision circuits on the DukeNet network; coordinating with customers and telecom providers to ensure that requirements are identified and circuit design solutions are acceptable as it relates to third party options; improving operational integrity and provide alternative circuit routing to eliminate potential failure points in the DukeNet network; redesigning customer circuits including routing options and new rules and evaluating circuit routing options and determines new routes for existing on-net circuits. Basic Qualifications: * Two year technical degree and 3 years experience in Telecom or related field or 5 years experience in Telecom or related field. * Demonstrated ability to work independently with some direct supervision or review. * Demonstrated working knowledge of telecom transport technologies. * Previous field experience configuring Cisco, Fujitsu or Nortel equipment or equivalent equipment from comparable vendors. Desired Qualifications: * Understanding of the DukeNet network configuration and equipment. * Experience troubleshooting & provisioning Layer 1 transport systems including SONET & DWDM; Ethernet and Layer 2 provisioning experience recommended. * Experience in circuit design and provisioning using Cisco, Fujitsu or Nortel equipment. * Experience on other telecom or communication company networks doing circuit configuration and/or circuit design.
