Private Duty Nursing Assistant
Schedule: PRN

Job Details: The Private Duty CNA provides care for the patient/client in the home under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Case Manager. The CNA follows a care plan as developed by the case manager or supervisor.
Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
A. Personal Care: Assists with bathing, dressing, basic hygiene, mouth care, routine skin care and shaving, and changes bed linens.
B. Mobility: Assists with transfers, ambulation, positioning and range of motion, and turns bed confined patients; Provides medical escort; Provides transportation as requested.
C. Elimination: Assists with toileting; Empties drainage device; Provides perineal and catheter care, and applies condom catheters.
D. Special Procedures: Assists with other patient care programs added to care plan in accordance with standards and as approved by supervisor; Takes and reports blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate and respirations; Provides wound and decubitus care; Provides non-sterile dressing changes; Assists with self-administered medications; Performs or assists patient with glucose monitoring.
E. Nutritional Care: Plans and cooks meals; Provides grocery shopping and puts food away; Assists with feeding
F. Household Tasks: Cleans kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom; Does laundry and changes bed linens; Assists with household financial management tasks.
**Possibility of Part-time or Full-time position after successful completion of 90 day introductory period**
Required Qualifications:
- NC CNA Certification
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Home health or hospice experience
